An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard and the V8 comes with a 10-speed automatic instead. Two-wheel drive (2WD) is standard on the Pro model, with four-wheel drive (4WD) available if you prefer.
You get 17-inch wheels on this one, along with chrome front and rear bumpers, a CornerStep rear bumper that makes it easy to get in and out of the Sierra 1500’s bed, LED headlamps and tail lights, and more. Looking inside, GMC provides a seven-inch infotainment screen in the Pro’s cabin, along with a six-speaker sound system and a 3.5-inch monochromatic Driver Information Center display. Vinyl seating is standard with four-way adjustable front seats, though you do get remote keyless entry to make it easier to hit the road. Overall, these are standard features that work well, though we’ll see many upgrades as we look at other models.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE
Moving up from the Pro model, the Sierra 1500 SLE has a lot of similar features but includes numerous standard and available upgrades. For example, a 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine is offered on the SLE (not available on the Pro) with 305 hp and an impressive 495 lb-ft of torque. On the outside, the SLE has similar looks with 17-inch wheels, chrome bumpers, and a chrome grille surround; here, you get heated power-adjustable side mirrors and the GMC MultiPro Tailgate with six functions to make loading, unloading, and transporting cargo in the bed easier. Inside, the cabin is greatly improved with a 13.4-inch GMC Premium Infotainment system with Google built-in and a 12.3-inch color Driver Information Center, plus the standard six-speaker sound system. You get cloth seating inside the SLE, with a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and more to improve your drive each day.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation
The shift from the SLE to the Elevation is not nearly as dramatic as going up from the Pro model, though there are still some noteworthy enhancements and things to consider. Engines and powertrain options are largely the same, though a High-Capacity Suspension package helps improve performance if you like loading up your truck with a lot of weight. You can get the V8 or diesel engine with an Electronic Precision shift and available front bucket seats on the Elevation model, which are not available for the SLE. GMC provides 20-inch wheels with the Elevation, along with body-color front and rear bumpers, grille, and more. Inside, you’ll find a lot of similar features to the SLE, ensuring you have a great time in your truck.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT
There are a few noteworthy things that make the SLT trim stand out: for one thing, this is the first model in the lineup with the 6.2L V8 engine available. This engine delivers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, giving you an amazing driving experience, though it’s only offered with 4WD models. Beyond that, the SLT comes with 18-inch wheels and has LED lighting in the cargo bed, while additional options like a Max Trailering package and skid plates to protect the SLT’s underside are available. Interior enhancements for this model include available perforated leather-appointed seating, with 10-way power front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and more.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4
The AT4 is the first of two off-road focused models and where you should start looking if you want a GMC Sierra 1500 to conquer the trail. Only available with 4WD, the AT4 is offered with either the 3.0L Duramax turbo diesel engine or the 420-hp 6.2L V8, giving you a fantastic drive no matter which you choose. This beast has 18-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler Territory tires, a heavy-duty air filter, an automatic locking rear differential, and a two-speed Autotrac transfer case. Best of all, you get a two-inch factory lift with Monotube Rancho shocks for impressive ground clearance and enhanced off-road capabilities.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali
In years past we would’ve said the Denali represents the peak of luxury and sophistication in the GMC Sierra 1500, but now it is the penultimate option in this regard. You still get an incredible truck if you go with the Denali model, which includes 20-inch wheels, six-inch chrome rectangular full-length assist steps, and a signature Denali grille. Extra touches like auto-dimming, power-folding outside mirrors, perimeter lighting, and a spray-on bedliner ensure the Denali is a premium driving experience. Meanwhile, you’ll find a seven-speaker Bose Premium sound system with a Richbass woofer, Forge perforated leather seating with 12-way power front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a wireless charging pad, and much more inside to enjoy.
2024 GMC Sierra 1500 AT4X

2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali Ultimate
While the AT4X has a lot to offer, if you’re not interested in heading off-road but want unsurpassed luxury, then the Denali Ultimate is ready to live up to its name. This is the ultimate sophistication thanks to incredible details like 22-inch ultra-bright wheels, a power sunroof, and GMC MultiPro Power Steps for getting in and out of the truck that retract automatically when not in use. You get a weatherproof MultiPro exterior sound system, including a tailgate sound system that is perfect for camping or tailgating.
